Clay Adamah
Author-Illustrator
About Clay
Like a raccoon in a compost heap, Clay is most content while munching on a good story. They have a particular fondness for buried treasure, grumpy souls, and anything unexpectedly warm and fuzzy. If you are especially good at finding things, you might be able to track them down scribbling on rock-paper in the brackish marshes of Massachusetts or—if it's storming—holed up in a blanket fort with a pile of good books.
Clay Adamah (they/ze) is an author-illustrator working towards representation for picture books and graphic novels. Clay's work uses speculative storytelling with folkloric elements to explore themes of subversive joy, diasporic identity, disability ingenuity, and solidarity. Their illustration is done in Procreate incorporating traditional media elements.
